It's NaPoWriMo time!
Today's prompt was to choose one of the vintage book covers on the site and write a poem based on the one we chose.
April
A bumble-bee cloud of daisies
Daydreams buzz and hum, scatter
like a trickle of petals.
Breeze is lemon-zested,
days bulge with new light.
Colours soften to pastel, soothe worries to wonders.
Mellow with yellow delight,
April says 'begin,' - despite
winter, despite night, despite loss -
sun-kissed beams of hope.
